Surrey Leader

Two young Surrey men didn’t make it home from a wedding celebration early Saturday morning.

They died when the new Jaguar sedan they were riding in allegedly ran a red light at the intersection of 132 Street and 88 Avenue about 1:48 a.m. and slammed into a car.

The Jaguar driver, also a Surrey resident, was ejected from the car. Police said the survivor may be charged with impaired driving causing death.

The three occupants of the crumpled Jaguar had reportedly attended an Indo-Canadian wedding celebration earlier that evening. Accident investigators believe the three were not wearing their seatbelts.
