The co-owner of a Vancouver taco shop destroyed by an explosion last week has killed herself.

The body of Manjeet Kaur Nandha, 42, who lived in Surrey with her husband and three children, was found Friday in Howe Sound.

Police said Nandha's 1999 Nissan Pathfinder was nearby, between Furry Creek and Porteau Cove.

The Taco Del Mar at 686 West Broadway, which Nandha and her husband owned, was torched and blew up early last Wednesday, causing $2 million in damage to businesses in the block.

The Province interviewed Nandha last Wednesday night at the couple's other Taco Del Mar restaurant, off Scott Road in Surrey.
