VANCOUVER - Pritpal Singh Virk, a 19-year-old Richmond man gunned down outside an east Vancouver home in what police say was a targeted hit, is the city's fourth homicide victim of 2008.

Vancouver police Const. Tim Fanning said Sunday he did not have details about the man's history, except that he was known to police.

"We don't believe this is random. We believe it is targeted because of the style of the attack," said Fanning. "We will be looking into whether this latest shooting is related to other recent shootings in the Lower Mainland."
