Rakhi or Raksha day stems as a brother/sister day in India, it is celebrated throughout India and across the world. A sister ties thread which can be intricate on her brother's wrist to signify their relationship. By accepting a Rakhi from a sister a brother takes on the responsibility of protecting his sister."In Indian tradition the frail thread of Rakhi is considered stronger than iron chains as it binds brothers and sisters in an inseparable bond of love and trust."
